This outstanding fleshing bull as seen on our Website, shows his capacity.

Test matching MFI Jeremiah with German Hafke blood and old Knox embryo blood out of South Africa has proven this cross an outstanding success.

S027 Fullblood Horned – On the top side is the long and thick Pronto from Don Mathieson.

He was so dark red he was almost deep, deep cherry.

On the bottom side is the unusual combination of German Haxl blood with Gerlinde a cow from Tony Maislinger of Salzburg in Austria.

I purchased Gerlinde from Tony’s barn because she had a great arse.

Most Fleckvieh breeders in Germany say Haxl was the bull that started the Simmental breed to success after WWII.

S006 Fullbood Horned – An interesting cross from the Hafke line from Four Starr Simmentals in Iowa USA

On the top side and my old G30, which is a combination of a Namibian/Zimbabean power house bull Jacat Mocca and a cow Kwantum Lanja I purchased solely for flushing in South Africa.

S026 Polled Fullblood – Duke as the sire, purchased from John Leek for a very reasonable price compared to these days when prices have actually doubled both here and in the UK, Ireland, continental Europe, as well as not leaving out Canada and USA.

L19 is another embryo cross of Grinalta blood with polledness on both sides, making S026 a possible PP.

S010 Fullbood Horned – Another interesting PP Bull on the topside with a Scottish Neff back to a German dam.

Dominion is PP. On the bottom side G5 is an embryo full sister to G30 with the same Namibian/Zimbabean sire and my own dam from South Africa.

S020 Fullblood Horned – Here a twist to reinforce the value of experimenting.

For want of a better way lets call the Sire Woonallee blood, but I have in my herd from long ago both Wisp-Will Rosie of South African blood as well as Real Deal as a sire.

On the bottom side G06, is Heraldik the sire although registered in South Africa on paper, is German.

Kwantum Lanja is mentioned elsewhere as my purchase in South Africa.

S019 Fullblood Horned – Now here is another unique combination. Topside is the embryo cross of the German Bayer x Pickel line and on the bottom side I bought Bar 5 Luke 1215 X at an old Bar 5 sale whilst bidding in the room.

The grand dam is as you might have guessed as K 07 was an embryo from the same batch ‘I gave’ to Guy Martin, whose Newlands Finnigan bull rose to fame.

There is a separate story here, best forgotten about Wirrabilla.

S024 Polled Fullblood – I cannot fault what a great job Tom Baker’s Woonallee blood has done for Simmental.

But here another twist from my South Africa flights across from Perth from the old days.

The dam an embryo, was three very influential farms of AI-AI , Ru Dev and Bulk-en-Brul.

It is probably worth saying I am a life member of the Southern African Simmentaler Association.

R97 PP Polled Fullbood – The sire here is Peno the celebrated son of the famous Panzer Bull from Austria.

No guesses that Panzer means in German language ‘Tank’.

The dam Galina is PP a Danish cow from the well known Sneumgaard herd.

From eyelid appearance R97 is Homozygous polled Fullblood.

S016 Polled Fullblood – When we purchased the Sire from John Leek at the Nationals, I struggled with the name of this very strong and powerful bull with the name of Prince.

So, was he Prince the black famed and dead singer or was he Prince Charles?

Nah, I thought, he will be called Duke as in John Wayne. K20 PP dam’s mother, Double Bar D Flashy 172 R is another you might have known, but I bet you did not know I owned her at one stage.
